Dehradun is the prime Institute of Ayurveda; founded by visionary Ayurveda practitioners in the year of 2004. The Institute started its academic functioning by catering Ayurveda education in Pharmacy, Nursing and Panchakarma. Over the years; Shivalik Institute of Ayurveda and Research stood out as the unique brand in academic field; providing government as well as private jobs to numerous students throughout Uttarakhand. The Institute then located in Jogiwala; Dehradun became the unique professional choice for bright students from corners of Garhawal, Kumaon and Jaunsar.

The Institute expanded its horizons in the year 2017 with new vision, new infrastructure and new team. The Institute launched its new campus in educational hub of Dehradun on Chakrata Road. Located in traditional Mango farm of Banshiwala; the Institute retained its originality and coexistence with nature while building the new infrastructure. Dr.Satendra Goyal; Director of SIAR always enforced that Nature is the foundation of Ayurveda and educating Ayurveda students must start with teaching them coexistence with the nature.
